ND Self-Care & Holistic Wellbeing

Jessica Dark, founder of ND Perspective, created ND Self-Care and Holistic Wellbeing after becoming frustrated by the same ideas about well-being being promoted as though they work for everyone.

“As a neurodivergent woman, I spent years trying to follow advice that simply didn't fit. Over time, I realised that the ways I regulate, recharge, connect, and experience joy often look different—and that's okay. Through both lived experience, my continued study in psychology and over a decade supporting neurodivergent people in our communities, I came to understand that neurodivergent people need flexible and varied approaches to self-care that recognise our diverse minds, bodies, and different ways of connecting.”

ND Self-Care and Holistic Wellbeing shares ideas, strategies, resources, music, movement, and conversations from a neurodivergent perspective, encouraging people to discover what genuinely works for them. Our vision is simple: to help neurodivergent people stop trying to fit someone else's definition of wellbeing and instead embrace the approaches that help them feel safe, connected, energised, and authentically themselves.

Palm & Palm

Palm & Palm is a collection of dance- and festival-inspired tracks with a spiritual twist, designed to offer an alternative approach to meditation and well-being for busy minds who find traditional meditation challenging.

Blending uplifting electronic sounds with positive affirmations, each track is designed to help you reconnect with yourself—whether through traditional meditation, mindful movement, dancing, stimming, or simply starting your day with positive energy.

Inspired by freedom, self-discovery, and connection, Palm & Palm invites you to reflect, move, recharge, and return to your highest self, one beat at a time.

New tracks are being released soon, with the debut album to follow. Join the journey and discover a new way to meditate, move, and reconnect.

Morning Sun
Palm & Palm

Morning Sun is an uplifting anthem about coming home to yourself. It celebrates trusting your own strength, believing in your potential, and embracing each new day as an opportunity to begin again.

Blending energising dance rhythms with positive affirmations, the track encourages you to let go of doubt, step confidently towards your dreams, and welcome every sunrise as a fresh start. Whether you're dancing, meditating, or simply setting your intentions for the day, Morning Sun is a reminder that the light you are searching for has always been within you.

Balance

How Neurodivergent Adults Can Nurture Wellbeing Across Work-Life & Self-Care

Founder Jessica Dark’s upcoming book, due for release on 19th November 2026, is a gentle, neuro-affirming guide to balance and holistic wellbeing. Exploring energy, sensory processing, planning, stress, and support across work, home, and personal self-care, the book helps readers to build practical strategies that fit their lives.

Balance: Book Launch Event

Event Details Coming Soon…

Join author, researcher, and founder of ND Perspective, Jessica Dark, for the official launch of her new book, Balance: How Neurodivergent Adults Can Nurture Well-Being Across Work, Life and Self-Care.

Drawing on both lived experience and years of research into neurodiversity, organisational psychology, and inclusive practice, Balance explores what well-being can look like when we move beyond trying to fit into systems that were never designed with neurodivergent people in mind. Rather than promoting one-size-fits-all solutions, the book encourages readers to develop a personalised understanding of their own needs, strengths, and ways of navigating everyday life.

Across its chapters, Balance considers the many areas that influence well-being, including work, home life, relationships, sensory environments, energy, routines, self-care, emotional well-being, identity, and thriving in a world that often places competing demands on neurodivergent people. Throughout the book, readers will find practical strategies, reflective activities, and evidence-informed approaches that can be adapted to suit different neurodivergent experiences.

During this special launch event, Jessica will:

  • Share the personal and professional journey that inspired her to write Balance.

  • Introduce the key themes explored throughout the book.

  • Provide an overview of the practical strategies, tools, and supports featured across the chapters.

  • Discuss how neurodivergent adults can develop sustainable approaches to well-being that work for them, rather than striving to meet unrealistic expectations.

  • Answer audience questions during a live Q&A.

Whether you are neurodivergent yourself, support a neurodivergent person, or work within education, healthcare, or workplace settings, this event offers an opportunity to explore a more compassionate, personalised approach to well-being and to celebrate the launch of a book designed to support neurodivergent adults in living balanced, fulfilling lives.

Self-Care Starts with Slowing Down…

To celebrate the launch of “Balance” this November, we have created a series of colouring pages inspired by the book’s themes and strategies.
